This may not be a service that crosses your mind often, but it doesn’t make it any less significant. Making sure your air ducts are clean is crucial when it comes to their efficiency and functionality. Keep Them Clean

Clean air ducts affect a variety of elements regarding your heating and cooling system, and even the air you and your family breathe. By having clean air ducts, your heating and cooling system is able to push through more of that chilled or heated air throughout your home, keeping it as comfortable as possible.

Not to mention, air quality can improve. With air being pumped into your home through dirty ducts, dust particles and other elements are being blown out of the vents with it. Plus, severe buildup can increase the risk of a house fire! By keeping your air ducts cleaned, you improve the efficiency of your system, your home’s air quality and its safety!

To get your air ducts cleaned, call the professionals at Honest Air Conditioning. We will work with you to find a time to make an appointment that works best for you. Call today to get started.

Control Dust And Other Contaminants By Cleaning The Central Air System
According to the EPA, levels of air pollution inside the home can be two to five times higher than outdoor levels. Household dust can contain mites, mold, mildew, pollen and animal dander – all of which is cycled through the central air system, which completely circulates that air in your home three to five times a day.

How Your Ducts Are Cleaned Makes A Difference
There are two ways to effectively clean your duct work: the negative air method and the brush and vacuum method. The negative air method involves blocking off your air returns and vents, then cutting a hole in your duct work. A large hose is attached to the hole and a truck mounted vacuum sucks out the debris. This method works, but can leave caked-on material behind.

We use the system that homeowners prefer 3 to 1: The Rotobrush brush and vacuum method that scrubs your duct work while it vacuums up debris. And, since the system is portable, there is no need to cut a hole in your duct work for hose access.

  • Video Inspection - Determine whether cleaning is necessary. Inspect for improperly joined junctions which are causing leaks. Also so you can see the job was done properly.
  • Brush and Vacuum System - A rotating brush scrubs the walls of the ductwork and any debris is vacuumed up immediately. Our equipment uses HEPA filters to keep the dust in the machine and only clean air is returned to your home.
  • Anti-microbial Application - After the ducts are cleaned, we apply a sanitizer to kill any microbial items not see by the naked eye.
  • Dryer Vent Cleaning - Unfortunately thousands of homes each year experience home fires due to clogged dryer vents. Remove the fire hazard and save a little money from not having to run the dryer extra cycles.
Your Ducts Should be cleaned if:
  • You notice an unpleasant smell in your home.
  • Your registers are dirty.
  • You/your family has allergies and/or asthma.
  • You have young children or elderly family living with you.
